Since some unknown time in college, I've thought about starting a blog. I've always had an urge to share my knowledge with people, whether it's a recipe or personal advice or just training someone at work. I have also journaled off and on but never made a steady habit of it. So this is my way of giving it all one more try. I want to share things I learn, help people live better lives, and be able to look back on my own journey, even if this blog only ever has a steady 5 readers.
My generation (the Millennials) are full of anxiety, depression, bad body image, student debt, and a general lack of understanding from adults. We are also incredibly driven, tough as hell, accepting, loving, and intelligent. Many of us don't realize the good things about ourselves and it took me a while to realize those things about myself. It was no overnight process, but being the (mostly) confident woman I am now, I want anyone and everyone to feel this way. I believe that sharing experiences, no matter how embarrassing, thrilling, difficult, inspiring, or shameful, is therapeutic. Not only for yourself, but to let others know that they aren't alone.
So that's my jumbled way of explaining what the heck I'm doing. You can expect this blog to be a little bit of a mess. You can also expect it to be honest, delicious, adventurous, and full of feminist undertones.
A final note, please comment on my posts. I want to open conversations, share stories, and hear from other people. I need to know I'm not alone too! So I will leave you with a question to make things a little easier for the both of us. What do you want to read a blog about? What advice, ideas, movies, restaurants, insights, recipes, tips, tricks, or funny stories are you looking for? What do you need in your life right now?
